Supanews grows to 51 stores

On 15 June 2009 Supanews will open its 51st store at Stockland Balgowlah, NSW. Supanews Balgowlah will be the Supanews network’s 28th franchised store. The new franchisees are currently undertaking exciting full business model training to ensure their success in the new development.

This latest sale exemplifies a period of extraordinary accelerated franchise expansion for the newsagency retailer. Despite an economic downturn, global uncertainty and low consumer confidence, ten Supanews full business model newsagencies have transitioned to new franchisees in six months and interest has not yet died down, with a further three outlets currently under contract.

During tough economic times, the benefits of being a member of a franchise network shine. Supanews franchisees benefit from the vast experience of the franchisor’s staff, identifying with a strong brand and corporate image, the support of the franchisor, better purchasing power, and discipline through compliance to excellent business systems.

The success of Supanews lies in the strength of business model, support for franchisees in all aspects of business and a total focus on customers. Supanews actively seeks new promotional opportunities and full compliance by all franchisees, meaning that all promotions have the maximum desired impact on customers. Supanews also constantly seeks stronger relationships with suppliers and landlords, which provide benefits to franchisees, including rebates and strong promotional support.
